Work with us
Shape a Positive Behaviour Support service.
Recruiting now: PBS Team Lead and Proficient Practitioners
AkindaCo is recruiting in response to demand and our PBS waitlist. Following the initial establishment of the team, we are expanding the service across Adelaide and regional South Australia. Every position is part-time or full-time, hybrid, and sits within a systemic practice alongside family therapists, psychotherapists and an in-house support work team.
All positions require an allied health qualification and prior clinical experience. We are not currently recruiting new graduates, but we plan to in 2027. If you are a new graduate interested in working with us, keep an eye on this page.
PBS Team Lead
Are you looking for your next challenge?
Would you like to have influence over how Positive Behaviour Support runs in an organisation, and to shape the development of a service as it grows? Would you like to collaborate with a broader allied health and support work team, and to see behaviour support plans implemented in reality rather than filed?
AkindaCo is seeking an experienced practitioner to lead its PBS team.
- Clinical leadership of the PBS team, with a caseload
- Influence over how behaviour support operates across the organisation
- Shape the service: standards, supervision, training and progression
- Collaborate with family therapists, psychotherapists and in-house support workers
- See plans implemented by a team you help train
- Part-time or full-time, hybrid
Essential: an allied health qualification; Proficient, Advanced or Specialist level under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework; and management experience.
Proficient Practitioners
Clinical specialism, without the operational load.
For experienced Proficient practitioners who want to deepen their clinical practice. Advanced practitioners are also welcome to apply.
-
The position
A clinical caseload across home, school and community settings, children through to adults. No operational management and no administrative responsibilities.
-
Development
Structured group and individual clinical supervision from senior practitioners, and a mapped pathway from Proficient to Advanced. Senior positions are filled through internal promotion wherever possible.
-
Terms
Part-time or full-time, hybrid. Billable expectation of 24 hours per week at full-time, pro rata, graduated over the first months.
Essential: an allied health qualification, prior experience in a therapy role, and Proficient level or above.
Why AkindaCo
A systemic practice, built for implementation.
- Family therapy, psychotherapy, early childhood services and support work in the same organisation as behaviour support
- An in-house support work team, trained in the plan by the practitioner who wrote it
- Practice grounded in the Multi-Element Behaviour Support framework
- Hybrid: clinic days at North Adelaide and Salisbury, outreach, and home-based days
- Applications welcome from regional South Australia
- Salaries range from $75,000 to $120,000 pro rata, depending on position and experience
- Health Professionals and Support Services Award
